Mayus Karia

Mayus, also known as “Mike” or “Mushi” to his close friends and family qualified as a solicitor in 2005 and has since had a wide and varied experience in both the business and legal world. Mayus is able to deal with a wide range of matters from Murder, to Emergency/Urgent Judicial Review/Injunction applications in the High Court and Claims valued well into 7 figures.

Mayus is a ferocious and meticulous litigator, holding the qualification of a “solicitor-advocate” in both the higher criminal and civil courts. He is one of only 470 out of the 198,899 registered Solicitors in England and Wales who holds both these higher rights qualifications (as at 2022). This enables him to be able to investigate cases, prepare cases, make interim applications, fight trials and argue appeals as an advocate in all courts right up to and including the Supreme Court.

Mayus prides himself on investigating all cases like the police investigate murder  – leaving no stone unturned. In any litigation he is the master tactician. A genius in strategic planning of the case from start to finish and a confident team leader [having hand-picked and assembled the right team for the right job] akin to the genius of Field Marshal Montgomery in the battlefield.

The service provided by Mayus is a “Rolls Royce” service to clients who want the very best of superior legal representation, advice and assistance in all matters at any time of the day, week or year. Once retained Mayus is available night and day seven days a week. The first thing Mayus provides to his clients is his personal mobile number. There is no pomp or ceremony despite the success in business and legal career enjoyed by him to date.

Mayus is not afraid to take on challenging cases and fight for justice. He is able to put the time and effort into investigating and preparing cases to an exceptional standard.

He has outstanding financial and accounting skills in the context of not only heavy litigation and forensic investigation but also commercial negotiation and settlement. He has formidable commercial acumen; and he is the ultimate solution finder.

He has a sixth sense in litigation which is unrivalled. He is able to quickly seek out the core issues and identify the effective nexus. He has a robust but realistic approach. Always open to sensible settlement negotiation but willing to fight hard and long if that is what is required. The fact that Mayus is also an accredited CEDR mediator means he is no stranger to effective ADR. Mayus is able to deal with ego, pride and resentment with the appropriate level of robustness, respect and empathy required at the perfect times to get the results.

Clients find Mayus charming, friendly, fun and above all very competent.
